the boring eGGie has returned... isn't that nice?
lah.
you know, it's not that i've intentionally been ignoring my poor little blog... it's more that i don't have anything interesting to write about.
sad really.
in case any one cares, i've been working on my ge0cities page... quite an improvement if i do say so myself; though do keep in mind that it's still a work in progress.
hmmmmm...
well, if you use firefox and have more than a passing interest in learning asian languages, here's a couple extensions that you might like:
and since firefox is so customizable, and i just love to play with things... i added the buttons for both extensions to the main firefox window.
the moji button

the main moji window/interface

chinesepera-kun doesn't have a window like moji, but having the on/off buttons easily accessible is nice.

can you feel the excitement?
yeah, me neither.
sigh.
hey!
want to do something exceptionally stupid?
go here and download a really old web browser... and actually install it.
then, after you've used it for all of 10 seconds, see if you can resist the urge to delete it.
'kay?
for some silly reason i downloaded lynx and tried to use it. if lynx were the only web browser available to me, i would probably have put forth a little more effort, but... i'm quite thankful that lynx is simply an alternative.
i'm sure that will offend some people that just love lynx... and all i can say is, i sincerely hope that one day you'll have a computer fast enough to use a better and more graphical web browser.
good luck to ya!
ever had a question about a particular food or ingredient?
if so, you might like this site... and, yes, they're very international. (that's how i found them to begin with.)
food is just one of the many topics covered on their site, so be sure to check out the main page.
do you just love anime and manga, and want to try drawing your own, but live in the middle ofhell no where, surrounded by a bunch of redneck, ignorant, racist fools?
then you might want to check out some of the online alternatives when you need some art supplies: wet paint is a great all-in-one store, and deleter specializes in products for the aspiring manga artist.
isn't that nice?
yes. yes, it is.
:)
lah.
bored yet?
then this likely won't make any difference...
i've recently discovered the joy that is "russian rap music".
yeah.
and since my fluency in russian is non-existent, and i have no desire to change that, i'm quite glad that i'm unable to decipher whatever it is that they're cursing about. cursing and rap go hand-in-hand, you know. sad, really.
sigh.
now if you want to listen to good rap, and, yes, there is such a thing, then you should listen to japanese girl rap. there's nothing more amusing than listening to a japanese girl, that sounds like she might be twelve years old, cursing like there's no tomorrow... in engrish.
sometimes it's really quite therapeutic. of course, sometimes it really makes me want to kill people... but there's also the case that killing people can be therapeutic as well.
sigh.
i'm not sure that would stand up in court, but i'm sure the world would be a better place if more people listened to japanese girl rap while partaking in a nation-wide killing spree. i'm sure psychoanalysts would enjoy that, at the very least.
in case you were unaware, "the kill everyone project" was finished earlier this year... unfortunately, it was a virtual project, and had very little, if any, effect on our sad, little world.
sniff.
better ruck next thyme!
hope i didn't scare you too much little blog!
;)

well, if you use firefox and have more than a passing interest in learning asian languages, here's a couple extensions that you might like:
- chinesepera-kun: chinese popup dictionary — is a fun and very useful addon. it's also a lot more interactive than some of the other language extensions i've found. note: the dictionary is installed locally on your computer, so you can use it even when offline.
- moji — is primarily a kanji dictionary, though there are a few other japanese-related dictionaries that can be added. like chinesepera-kun, moji is installed locally on your computer. unlike chinesepera-kun, you need to download the dictionaries separately; they're located on the same page.
and since firefox is so customizable, and i just love to play with things... i added the buttons for both extensions to the main firefox window.

can you recommend any japanese girl rap music? The tone can't be much different than Yui Horie. Though I like her voice, really.
hmmmm... well, it's not generally something that i listen to. so i can't say "right off the northern hemisphere of my berry own noggin'," but i'll look around a bit, and see what i can locate in the space between my sound intercepting devices.
'kay?
i had to look up the critter you were referring to, as i don't keep up with voice actors/actresses that often... rather popular, isn't she? on that note, i have seen several of the anime that she's taken part in, and, yes, she has a very tiny voice... most of the time; must be voice training or something, as i recall a few of the characters being very scary.
:)
Yeah, she's done a lot of voice acting, but I don't watch anime. Odd, really, that I don't. Anime is a lot of people earning decent salaries making movies, whereas Hollywood is 2 or 3 people earning 90% of a film's budget while everyone else on the project is underpaid.
Yeah, so I really don't like anime. Tried a few (movies, not series) but couldn't get into them. But I like her songs as well as Maaya Sakamoto's (haven't seen any of her anime either).
not like anime?
how sad for your berry own face!
poor little critter...
sniff
probably just had some bad experiences or something.
of course, watching all the english-dubbed garbage on american tv can do that to you.
i think you'd be surprised if you watched some of the newer shows, a lot of them would qualify as prime-time dramas and what-not... and let's not forget the horror/occult genre. scary.
lah.
i guess it just depends on what you like. it's not all magical girl stuff... though i'm sure some wish otherwise.
~*~
i think i've seen one maaya's music videos... something about giant peach cans... ^_^;
~*~
i heard that they're making a live-action series about your favorite trash bag wearing girl, cutie honey; though i'm pretty sure it'll have a different cast than the movie.
lah
Cutie Honey was a fun movie, but I don't know if I'd like to watch an entire series. If you can accept that the acting is bad, the sets are bad and that the action is over the top, then you can also enjoy it for the low budget fun it's meant to be. But an hour of that every week? bleh.
Maaya Sakamoto has a video with giant peach cans? Do you mean Aya Matsuura (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye0_7ogWawI)? If so, wrong person. I don't care much for Matsuura's music. Try Maaya Sakamoto's latest here (music only: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIQ0CfKDrSM).
you know, the fact that you even knew about the giant peach cans, much less the correct artist, is kind of scary. yes, scary indeed.
i just thought it was kind of cute... and scary; typical japanese entertainment.
lah.
i had to look up sakamoto maaya... she did some voice acting/songs for a few anime that i've seen; though most of her songs that i'm familiar with are non-anime-related; go figure.
can't say i remember seeing any of her pvs though.
I checked out your ge0cities page. why don't you even like getting emails from microsoft or google?
google is not evil, yet.
did my poor, little page look slightly more organized than before?
i put a bit more effort into it this time... probably.
~*~
in other news:
g00gle freely admits that they archive everything... including email. they also said that no 'humans' were going to look through said email. of course they won't, they have evil little g00glebots to do their dirty work for them. why do you think they have so many software engineers?
the largest search engine company not searching through their own files... right, i so believe that.
it's not that i completely despise g00gle, i do use their search engine regularly, but, g00gle is a huge security risk. the fact that they archive everything they can get their greedy little paws on is proof enough of that. the fact that security doesn't exist to keep their archives from being compromised is another. of course, that's only if you don't consider g00gle itself to be a threat.
why would anyone trust them?
have you ever met the people that work there?
do you know what affiliation g00gle has with various government agencies?
personally, i find g00gle to be rather scary, and on that note, i still stand by my previous description of them: their a bunch of greedy, information-hording, megalomaniacal, monkey-brains!
not that i'm biased or anything.
;)
~*~
do you think that the information recorded by g00gle's desktop tool never makes it back to g00gle?
what about their online office tools?
all of the business/personal information is loaded on their servers.
i honestly can't believe that anyone would trust a company that much.
~*~
got cookies?
did you know that you have to accept cookies from g00gle just to login to bl0gger?
previously, g00gle cookies wouldn't expire until the year 2038... now they only last for 2 years; how completely wonderful!
unless i'm using bl0gger, i have g00gle cookies blocked, and i delete absolutely everything from my cache when i close the browser (which is rather frequently).
~*~
for anyone that is computer savvy, most problems with g00gle don't exist. unfortunately, people that actually implement good security measures and use common sense on the internet are the minority.
~*~
now, let's sing the "g00gle is evil" song!
:P
Can't wait to read your post about how Americans did not land on the moon, how aliens are being kept in formaldehyde in Area 51 and how the planes on 9/11 were remotely controlled by US agents.
:D
cookies not expiring until 2038 isn't a big deal. The only real problem with that is that your hard drive would be full of nothing but cookies by then.
Although I do think it's really creepy to use Google's spreadsheet and word processor for important stuff like CVs and corporate documents, I don't really mind if they archive my joke emails, my gathering with friends emails and all the spam I get offering me male enlargements.
On a side note, my employer won't let us install Google desktop. :P
i already blogged about no one landing on the moon... apparently you missed it. though i'm pretty sure that was part of bloGGie 1.0, which has been deleted... perhaps i should ask the g00gle police to retrieve it from their archives?
lah.
area 51 is actually a giant cheese farm... but don't tell anyone, 'cause it's a secret! 'kay?
us agents aren't that smart, they would have needed the help of children to show them how to use the remotes.
:P
Wow. It's been a year since this poor bloggie has been updated. :(
I wonder if eggie has started bloggie v3.0 somewhere else. I wonder if Google would know about it. Maybe I'll ask.
Unless it's just that her keyboard's shift key is stuck an caps, and she refuses to write with a capital letter. EVER.

hmmmmm....
a stuck caps lock... that would be bad.
~*~
i guess i've just been feeling more morbid than usual.
isn't that nice?
...and my over-whelming desire to kill everybody doesn't make for an 'interesting' read.
lah.

however, if you want to suggest a topic, that i might feel inspired to write about...
