the most fantastical post ever made... probably

i suppose i'm exceptionally overdue for updating my little bloGGie.

can't write about things that never happen though, right?

—————— ❀❀❀ ——————

let's see...

one of the female cousin units became a female spousal unit recently. i'm the only local resident that didn't attend the most sacred annoying event, and i consider myself exceptionally fortunate in that regard.

i'm kind of curious as to what makes people think they can get married, start a family and whatnot... while not making the same mistakes that their parents did?

is it some sort of ingrained arrogance that makes them think that they're special?

when i was an über tiny tot, i used to believe in all sorts of silly things like "true love" and "parents that weren't easily mistaken for evil, sadistic pod critters of mass stupidity".

live and learn i guess... i imagine that the newly-wedded will as well.

the evil fat guy™ left yesterday morning to go harass poor, defenseless fishies.

poor fishies.

would it be wrong of me to wish for a somewhat localized hurricane/tsunami/tidal wave/whirlpool/water spout/meteor/rabid mutant jellyfish/etc. to appear where ever he may be?

—————— ❀❀❀ ——————

saw this the other day:

rechargeable batteries... that recharge via usb. nifty ain't it?

i wonder how long they last since a good portion of the battery isn't actually battery, but usb and charger stuff?

still, they'd probably be rather handy at times.

the female sibling unit mark_2 has officially dropped out of nursing school, and i can honestly say that the world is now a much safer place.

yay!

at the bequest of the female parental unit, the female sibling unit mark_2 is now attempting a new career path, that of a graphic designer.

it's kind of interesting that most of the classes are computer-centric. she usually spends most of her computer time listening to cds and chatting with her friends.

it's not that she's incapable of learning, probably, though i think she suffers from a serious lack of motivation.

maybe she'll do better with classes that aren't so strenuous.

with what little i learned, second hand, from her attempt at being a health care lackey, i'm really surprised that the term "going nurse" hasn't already been created.

oh well, i'm sure it's more fun to put people in the hospital than associate with them once they're in there.

:p

hey! you like my nifty new and super-keen page break thingie?

if you have good unicode support, then you'll see the little flower blossoms, if not...

*sniff*

i hope you can see it. i spent minutes and minutes creating it!

here's some more scary links for you to play with (in random order, since they don't really have anything to do with, well, anything):

—————— ❀❀❀ ——————

you know, i'm not a big fan of micr0soft's internet exploder, and personally, i think they've just made a big mistake: internet exploder 7 will only be available for wind0ws xp (service pack 2 or higher), and wind0ws vista.

isn't that great?

now there will be even more people switching to non-micr0soft browsers!

—————— ❀❀❀ ——————

speaking of browsers...

here's a list of eGGie's favorite firefox extensions:

  • download manager tweak — a modification of the firefox download manager that changes its appearance and allows it to be opened in a separate window, a new tab, or the sidebar.

  • flashblock — never be annoyed by a flash animation again! blocks flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it.

  • flashgot — download one link, selected links or all the links of a page together at the maximum speed with a single click, using the most popular, lightweight and reliable external download managers. supports dozens of download tools.

  • noscript — extra protection for your firefox: noscript allows javascript, java and other executable content only for trusted domains of your choice.

  • tab mix plus enhances firefox's tab browsing capabilities. it includes such features as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, plus much more. (the session manager with crash recovery is a waste of time. thankfully it can be disabled.)

  • web developer — adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools.

No longer a nurse, eh? Didn't you once remark on the irony of her being a smoker in the health field? Well, I guess this shuts you up. ;)

I like the new page break thingies.

If ever I go to Japan, I'll probably just try to learn 5 or 6 forms of thank you. I understand this is enough to elicit oohs and aahs from them.

Have you heard the latest Moaning Musume song? It's not bad. :) But the main chorus reminds me of another song. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I'll remember which song eventually.

oooohhh..... I was on the blogger main page when I saw your bloggie name scroll by. It was wedged between Lower Your Insurance Costs and Enlargements R Us. How cool is that?!? :D

strange.

i guess i'm kind of curious as to how they choose which blogs will scroll across the main page.

whatever script thingie they use, really slows my computer down, so i rarely ever pay it much attention.

oh well.

Hooray, new Eggie posts.
I agree with the whole license to start a family thing. There are a lot of people out there who should not be parents. It's scary. But evil parents have their place in the world too, if anything, to show us what not to be like when we become parents.

Your flowers, or sunbathing turtles, show up as little squares on Internet Explorer. But that's OK because squares need love too. I tried IE7 (I liked it) but it slowed my medieval computer back one historical time period further. It's such a resource hog so I got rid of it. I find Firefox is a Firepig (although not as bad as IE) in terms of sucking up resources too. Opera is a friend to those who are still computers from the last year of the old millenium.

I just finished watching "Lost in Translation". I'm glad that arcades still thrive in other parts of the world (Japan). Gaming consoles killed the arcade star...atleast where I live.

Moshi moshi.

I recently came across a Japanese group called My Little Lover. Ever heard of them? I'm quite enjoying their material. :)
