isn't summer great?
i'm so a-pealing.
really.
one of the many benefits of severe sun burn.
i had to help the evil fat guy™ with one of his overly-annoying and quite useless chores (that he dreamed up). unfortunately, for me at least, it was outdoors.
according to the female sibling unit mark_II, i'm the proud owner of second degree burns on my arms and legs.
yay me. :|
you would think i'd have enough sense not to do something so silly, wouldn't you?
well, since i don't spend any more time in direct sunlight than i have to, i'm probably considered rather delicate... or something.
maybe it's an eGGie thing?
i didn't even notice that i had completely changed color till several hours later...
hmmmm, maybe evil sunlight causes color blindness as well?
mean old sun! :P
the concept of sun block briefly flittered through my mind as i was comparing my new hue to that of a ripe tomato.
thankfully (read: not really, but i feel the need to be sarcastic), i also managed to get poison ivy.
currently playing: scary and overly-anxty moosic by olivia lufkin.
i'm not certain, but i think she's trying to release songs in every musical genre — with the exception of country and western, which i am eternally grateful for. though it would probably be amusing is she did so in japanese.
in a previous post (after an ice storm), i wrote about all the wonderful things you can do when the power goes out...
i'm not sure it's any better when the power goes out during the summer. while i may not freeze to death, there's certainly the possibility of having heat stroke.
great, isn't it?
the power has gone out more this summer than it did last winter.
yesterday, during the few hours of actual sunlight, the power went off again.
i'm convinced that the electric company has hired someone to turn off residential power at random times — just because they can.
even when the power doesn't mysteriously disappear, having to unplug every appliance because of all of the oh-so-wonderful summer storms is rather annoying.
don't get me wrong, i can certainly appreciate how useful all the rain has been — and having the outside temperature drop noticeably is just great!
but does it have to happen every day?!?
lightning sucks — that's all there is to it.
eGGie's ode-poem-haiku thingie to summer!
i hate you!
i hate you!
i hate you!
thank you. thank you. have a nice day!
i know, i know, it doesn't meet the requirements to be either an ode or a haiku.
like i care.
eGGie's (new & improved!) ode-poem-haiku thingie to summer!
i hate sunburn!
i hate poison ivy!
i hate electrical storms!
maybe that's closer?
no summer is complete without me bitching about something, you know?
be good lil' blog!
;)
