is dangerous, yes?

so, i saw this silly little video, right?

this guy takes some mentos candies and drops 'em in a bottle of soda, which in turn makes a soda geyser...

oops!

at first i thought it was slightly amusing, especially since both the silly human critters got sprayed with soda, but then i started wondering...

what would happen to some silly person if they happen to eat some mentos then drink some soda?

would it just rush back out their mouth?

would they explode?

would anything happen at all?

try it and see, then let me know what happens, okay?

:D

*and in case you were wondering, yes, the video was actually that blurry.

~*~

but don't you do it lil' blog!

sounds too too dangerous!

actually...

i didn't save the link. :P

but i found another one. the only difference is they watermarked the movie. and yes, it's still just as blurry. bleh!

apparently the guy in the video has his own site, where he does weird science stuff. the video there is a lot clearer, but you have to have a web browser that supports wmv files.

lah!

have fun and stuff!

fun! :D

i dislike wmv files in a browser cause they start out ok but get progressively choppier the longer the video runs. :P

well, if you weren't on a mac i'd tell you where to get a nifty program that can download videos directly.

i use opera and mozilla, internet exploder is just scary! and i've yet to figure out how to view wmv files from either of my preferred browsers. :(

hmmm... works for me when I use forefox. Do you use that flavour of mozilla or just plain ol' vanilla mozilla?

sometimes both, but i generally use opera as my primary browser.

firefox will prompt me to download the wmv if it's just there as a file, but if it's a streaming file, it just gives me an error.

might be a windows thing, since micros0ft likes to force people to use their products.

maybe there's a firefox/mozilla wmv plugin somewhere, but i haven't seen it, and honestly, i don't care.

lah!

Hi there,
The Mentos explosion is a lot less dramatic in real life...my brother teacher tried it for his class and it only went up about a 1 ft. :(

did he use diet soda?

supposedly that makes it go higher, or something...

i've never tried it, though it would probably be interesting. i've also never had mentos, and i tend to shy away from carbonated drinks.

bleh.

i saw someone completely different at g000gle video do the mentos/soda thing, and his seemed to work just fine.

though he did permanently attach a metal tube to the top of the soda bottle.

just do a search there for mentos, you'll find lots of videos!

hopefully it's not a super-secret mentos conspiracy to make us think that those funny little candies actually serve some purpose!

:O

uh, speaking of mentos...
