lah! it's me again!
eye-muh duh-eye-in!
eye-muh duh-eye-in!
sad, ain't it?
about the time i was going to prepare my berry own foodstuffs the evil fat guy returned!
ohz-noz! :O
then he went and ruined the kitchen place again!
the bastard!
...
i finally managed to locate my hazmat suit and crawled through all the carnage to the oven...
at least most of the icky smell is gone.
...
i really don't understand how someone that has been around as long as the evil fat guy can not know how to cook at his age. it's pathetic really. no matter what he attempts to cook, it always ends up burnt, really burnt, with lots of smoke.
a few weeks ago he was 'cooking' something that i'm sure was toxic before it ever caught fire. it was one of the times (recent anyway) that i can recall wanting to go on a homicidal rampage and eviscerate the cause of my current mood.
i actually had to air out the house before i did something that i'm sure he'd regret in the next life.
stupid bastard.
hmmm... i used that word twice already.
neat.
blah.
while i'm waiting for the oven to finish baking my poor little potato sticks i'll see if i can remember anything even remotely amusing to type...
...
...
hmmmm...
uh, i got so bored that i started reading naruto fanfiction.
well, uh, some of it's not bad. thankfully there are some fanfic authors that seem to want to actually accomplish something (as opposed to the anime/manga, that tend to drag things on forever, and ever, and ever...), which is nice.
the one thing that really annoys me about the canon storyline is naruto himself. he's been through a lot, a whole lot, but it apparently isn't enough to actually cause him to mature in even the smallest way. he's emotionally retarded, severely short-sighted, and more often than not, a complete moron. you would think that after a few dozen or so near death experiences that it would do something to make him open his eyes.
oh well.
of course, it's also nice when someone actually does something about all the semi-romantic tension that is part of canon. it's not that they need to be serious at their age, or maybe they do. since it is a ninja story, i imagine a lot of them have rather short life spans. perhaps they actually marry at an earlier age? i don't know. the whole story is a weird mix of modern technology and what might be considered feudal japan.
there's also the fact that since it's a ninja story, i tend to skip over a lot of it. i mean, some of the characters are very likeable, but the situations that occur can be entirely too graphic and well... bleh!
on the other hand (depending on my mood and stuff), reading about silly human critters getting chopped up, blown up, and other things that would usually cause me to throw up (that's a lot of ups ain't it?) can do wonders for my emotional well-being. :P
just so you know, i have eaten and the chances of me going eGGie on a certain evil fat guy have been greatly reduced.
of course, i may still whack him in the head with a brick.
as i was saying...
while i wouldn't want to live in the naruto world place, some of the things that happen there are pretty nifty. well, the whole ninja magic thing is at least. seriously, who wouldn't want to be able to blow a giant fireball at somebody that looked at you the wrong way? i know i'd enjoy it. of course, turning them into a block-o-ice beforehand could be fun as well.
it's times like these that give me pause... i'm pausing and stuff... and make me think that maybe, just maybe i might have a mean streak, but then i remember that human critters tend to be evil incarnate and i feel all better. :P
there are actually quite a few naruto stories at ffnet that don't suck, and some of them are rather spiffy even. (isn't spiffy just the most bestest word?)
weird, huh?
ffnet is a pretty good place to go for practically any type of fanfiction, and amateur fiction in general. they rarely discriminate, and they have a pretty good ratings/category system to keep track of everything.
isn't that nice?
on that note i think i'll go read or something.

1 Comments:
only 2 and a half lousy months between posts.
I had decided to come to your blog to write a comment, you know, just to see if you were still alive. and instead of being able to gripe about how some blogs are left to die slow deaths, i find 2 new posts! your timing was excellent.
