kablooi!

aren't sound effects great?

i'd like someone to explain to me how exactly anyone could use the word bowls when they should be using bowels... as in the "bowels of hell".

i probably wouldn't say anything if i hadn't seen it happen several times (and all of them at fanfiction.net).

when someone is trying to sound dark and foreboding, then they make a very silly typo, it kind of kills the mood. i'm pretty sure that my laughing wasn't quite the effect they were after.

surprisingly, after leaving a message in one of the stories' review section, the author actually fixed it... of course, it probably helped when i mentioned something about "cereal bowls of hell".

or maybe not.

while it's certain that i could write at least ten pages or so on all the silly things i've seen at fanfiction.net regarding horrible grammar and too too silly typos, i shall not... mostly because it would give me a headache.

i noticed that nobody commented on the wonderful banner on my profile page. *sniff* it's a parody of the fanfiction.net logo (which is no longer in use — though it was when i created my poor little profile).

while i didn't make the too too silly face used in my banner (it's an emoticon i found somewhere or other), i did make the rest of it in photoshop.

the page seemed to be rather empty before i added the banner thingie, and while i didn't use a lot of graphics, the few there seemed to help.

i was wandering around on xinhuanet the other day, and saw an ad for a movie.

now if anyone has actually paid attention to my poor little bloGGie, they'd remember that i don't watch tv and have a very poor opinion of the american entertainment industry.

it sucks, but that's beside the point.

any who, i read the ad, and even watched the movie trailer.

go me.

"silent hill" looks to be rather interesting.

it's based on a playstation game, which i happen to like.

of course, i'm kind of partial to any game (read: resident evil), where they have a bunch of silly human zombie critters, and you get to squish 'em in various ways.

woohoo!

while investigating silent hill, i noticed that there are now 4 different silent hill games — available as a collection for the ps2.

yay!

too bad i don't have one.

i was entirely bored the other day, and decided to actually write down some recipes that i *ahem* made up.

would anyone be interested in my ingenious attempts at creating edible food stuffs?

do keep in mind that i'm a vegetabletarian, and there's little chance that any thing i cook would kill you.

melt the inside of your mouth, yes, kill you, no.

on occasion, i do tend to use a lot of pepper (of the hot variety), but have no fear! after a few years your taste buds will grow back, probably.

i was conversing with the female parental unit the other day, and she mentioned something about a movie she saw... apparently the female sibling unit mark_2 took her to the theatre for sadistic bitch's mother's day.

she kept going on and on about what a wonderful movie it was, and how she had never seen anything like it.

blah blah blah

after about ten minutes of that, she finally got around to actually describing the story. though i did have to prompt her a bit, it only took about thirty seconds before i figured out what it was.

it's a remake of one of my favorite korean movies, "il mare".

a great movie, i highly recommend it.

it's amazing that she can enjoy a remake of a movie, but refuse to watch the original.

whatever.

oh well, i think i'll drown my sorrows in cinnamon punch, then go make some funny faces in the mirror...

be good lil' blog!

kablooi. Have you been reading old Calvin and Hobbes comic books?

So I went to the trouble of trying to remember where the link to your anime rants was, just so that I could critique your talents as a photoshopper by checking out the logo you mentioned. Had to read through countless of my lame-o comments just to find the one in which you explain how to find the URL. Then I tried the 'ffnet_profile' thing 'cause I read about it in one of the comments. But it seems you've fixed that and it was indeed back at 'profile.' Then I saw your work.

I must admit that, while it's a fine logo and I do see the humour in it, I was expecting more. :P

I'll bite. Care to share a recipe? If it doesn't include too much pepper I may consider trying it out. My tastebuds and mouth in general are very sensitive. Years of chewing on charred flesh will do that.

yeah, well, see what happens when you have expectations?

:P

it wasn't so much the art work, as the message on the banner, but any who, you would probably understand if you actually read anything at their site.

~*~

of course i'll share recipes!

not all of them require hot spices, though several of them do.

i'll post them tomorrow, as i've already stayed up past my bed time.

So you liked Il-Mare that much eh? I liked it but was a tad disappointed afterwards because I had heard so much about it

Have you seen Christmas in August? That's another one that got rave reviews but I was disappointed with that one also, more so than with Il-Mare.

Failan on the otherhand blew me away even after reading stuff on it before hand. I usually never read reviews before hand but I have to with Korean movies because I have to choose wisely since it's pricey importing things blindly. The price seems to double too if the movie ends up being not so good.
