let me know if you've heard this one before...
woohoo!
it's indian land theft day!
let's celebrate by slaughtering thousands of birds!
~*~
i wonder how many of you get to spend today with people that you wish didn't exist?
i suppose a lot of holidays are like that.
~*~
you like salad dressing?
do you like it a lot?
you know how some salad dressing bottles have this second lid-type thing with a small hole in it?
it's so you can squeeze out just the right amount.
rather nifty, if i do say so myself.
unless of course, you squeeze the bottle and the second lid-type thing with a small hole in it pops off the bottle and half of the contents of said bottle follow it onto your plate.
i don't really like salad dressing that much.
~*~
speaking of bottles...
guess what i did?
i've got this plastic salsa bottle, right?
it's a pretty nifty bottle, as far as plastic salsa bottles go.
i cleaned it up, washed it and washed it, but i just can't get the spicy smell out of it.
soooo, i took a big handful of animal crackers and put them in the bottle.
why?
i don't know.
i'm wondering if maybe the little crackers will end up with a different flavor, or just smell funny in a few weeks.
i wonder if i washed the bottle with vinegar or something, if it would help?
of course, i could just put more salsa in it. :P
~*~
have you ever actually paid attention to how much disposable packaging there is these days?
sometimes there's more packaging than there is product.
whoever came up with the idea for individually packaging products, of any kind, has probably earned themselves a place in the tenth level of hell for too too stupid and exceptionally evil, forest-destroying, plastic-making, garbage-creating monkey brains!
~*~
so i've got this box of cereal bars, right?
the lid won't open, it's glued down rather well, and i nearly break my poor little fingers off trying to pry it open.
but wait!
what's this?
one flip of my finger and the side falls open?
would that be considered a design flaw, or was it intentional?
that's what i want to know.
~*~
did you notice how most of this bloGGie has been about food?
that's my holiday gift to all of you!
hope you enjoyed it!
~*~
it's supposed to snow here today, or something.
certainly cold enough.
have i ever mentioned how much i despise cold weather?
bah humbug
~*~
well, this one's a little short, but whatever.
i usually blog when i'm bored, or pissed off, or both...
good combination, yes?
~*~
hmmmm
i think i'll go draw something.
be good while i'm gone lil' blog!
:)

Ever buy a small electronic component at Costco? You know, like one of those itsy bitsy teeny weeeny flash memory cards for digital cameras? Yeah, those.
They come in a large, clear, plastic case the size of a photo album.
Yep. Too much packaging.
Like how video game makers used to package 1 CD and 1 small registration card into a huge box. Remember that? They used to argue that people would not be interested in small boxes since they would feel they are getting less for their money.
At least that industry has the sense to use less packaging now.
Oh, and back to Costco. I refuse to buy crackers there because they only stock those that come in tiny packs of 2 crackers.
Someone told me that in Germany the stores have started placing large bins at the exit. People are encouraged to place any extra packaging in them as they walk out the store. The store then sorts out the packaging and mails it to each company responsible for the waste. :)
