so, like i was thinking...

if the plural for goose is geese, why isn't the plural for moose, meese?

lah.

and if the plural for mouse is mice, why isn't the plural for spouse, spice?

how did 'basic' become basically, when all you really need is 'ly' at the end? i don't know about your dictionary, but mine doesn't have 'basical' in it.

whoever they hired to create the silly engrish language should be fired already, they did a really bad job!

perhaps i should ally myself with other like-minded eGGies and create a new language — that isn't nearly as confusing as engrish.

as long as i'm asking questions, why does bl0GGer keep trying to make me sign in to their new version?

i don't have a g00gle account, and i don't want one. of course, it wouldn't surprise me if they moved my account over to g00gle without asking me. the evil bastards!

happy whateverdays lil' blog!
come over later and you can have some pocky!

the right click menu from hell!

this is a funny story, probably. (i'm sure mac users will appreciate the irony.)

don't you just love the right click menu?

i know i do. the right click menu certainly saves me a lot of trouble... usually that is.

as someone that is constantly trying to learn more about web design, i've taken it upon myself to install and "try out" various programs for creating/editing html.

that sounds pretty simple, right?

maybe in theory, but theories have a tendency to be wrong.

i don't know when it happened exactly, but one day i noticed that when i right clicked on an html file the menu was slightly longer than normal. i didn't pay it much mind. it would be okay, right?

some time later i noticed that the menu was nearly as tall as the screen... but, it would be okay, right?

when it got to the point that my right click menu actually scrolled off the screen, i knew, i knew that everything wasn't okay anymore. in fact, it was pretty dang scary!

right click menus aren't supposed to do that. at least, not on my computer!

unfortunately, the majority of the programs listed on the menu had already been uninstalled, and very few of the others had the option to remove them from the menu.

isn't that sad?

*sniff*

thankfully for me, i know how to g00gle. that, and i'm not completely incompetent when it comes to editing the windows' registry; because that's exactly what i had to do.

while it's certainly wonderful that i was able to fix the problem, the fact that i had to do so via the registry is really annoying.

while i was out wandered the web, i found a very cool program: openexpert — and it's free for personal use. it replaces the windows' "open with" dialogue on the right click menu and allows you to add the programs that you want. openexpert combined with the removal of several registry entries has made me significantly happier, at least where right-clicking is concerned.

let's do the right-click boogie lil' blog!
